In the world of railway transportation, the need for reliable, high-speed communication networks is more critical than ever. Lantech, a leader in industrial networking solutions, has stepped up to this challenge with their state-of-the-art Railway Solutions. Their rolling stock EN50155-certified Ethernet switches and routers are specifically designed to meet the demanding needs of modern railway systems, offering robust reliability, high speed, and security.
DEUTA RedCloud® DEUTA RedCloud® is a cloud-based software solution for real time acquisition, processing and analysis of event recorder and sensor data, improving efficiency of railway operations, proving compliance and supporting maintenance activities. Our approach We use Lean Product development with human-centred Design Thinking to develop our solution.
The transportation and mobility industries are on the cusp of a major revolution. Applications such as autonomous vehicles, dynamic, demand-led real-time traffic management using ‘vehicle to anything’ (V2X) technology and high-resolution video/CCTV linked to AI systems to improve compliance, safety and convenience via smart transportation infrastructure have all been spoken about for many years. Initially these were in the realm of science fiction, then discussed as conceptual ‘art of the possible’ technology topics, and now, finally, as realistic aspirations to be implemented in the near future.
Let’s time-travel 40 years back in history at the roots of “Leroy Automatique Industrielle” (LAI). The company was established in Toulouse by Mr Jean Leroy, a brilliant and passionate engineer graduated in 1967 from MINES Saint-Etienne (“Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne”) after having spent 12+years at Merlin-Gerin in Grenoble, France – nowadays, Schneider Electric group. He led his company “LAI” to success through visionary technologies and award-winning innovative ideas, navigating through the tumults of the electronic and automation markets.
Artificial intelligence (AI) isn’t a new phenomenon – it has been around for nearly half a century – but in more recent years it has become increasingly prevalent across a range of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. This acceleration has been driven mainly by the evolution of computational power based on GPU (graphics processing unit) computing.
The architecture proposed by CLEARSY is based on a HIMA safety PLC (standard products - SIL4 certified PLC for railways) coupled with CLEARSY RS4 relays (also SIL4 certified) interfacing with the controlled equipment.
Based on the signalling principle diagrams and technical drawings, CLEARSY implements the interlocking logic in the PLCs and validates it according to a process that complies with the railway standards, in particular the EN50128. All the documents are then presented to an independent certifier (ISA) to obtain a positive SIL4 evaluation report.
BRIO is an Ethernet-based decentralized-remote input/output module, designed to be embedded on-board rolling stock vehicles. It is available as a product range offering different digital and analogue inputs/outputs configurations, and several field-bus communication ports such as Ethernet, CAN, RS485, MVB, etc.
The CLEARSY on-board simulator (also named EVC simulator) is implementing all functions described in SUBSET-026 concerning the on-board parts, including also the DMI functions in compliance with the ERA specification. It is a functional but non safe implementation installed on its hardware or delivered in a virtual machine.
IGE+XAO range covers the full electrical system design and manufacturing process and enables companies to build a powerful “digital twin”
The mobility transition in the railway sector requests even more autonomous and safe solutions for the transport of people and goods. These safety requirements are reflected in CENTRALP’s constant search for innovation, performance and quality.

ALYSA is a solution for the development and test of simple or complex equipment. ALYSA provides the ability to model system functionalities, perform all integration and validation tests for fast, safe and secure commissioning.
The very first 5-car MP14 metro train is now starting to be tested on line 11. For the record, the MP14 metro is the new Parisian rolling stock, the first of which were put into circulation on 12 October 2020 on line 14, with 8 cars. Thus, this metro is the longest in the Parisian network!
